Tiger Time

Reading, Math, and Behavior Intervention Service

Our goal is to provide intervention services in reading, math, and behavior that meet students where they are at, meet their specific learning needs, and help them to improve toward grade level goals.

Intervention services are a core component of our MTSS framework within the district. We follow a systematic approach to screen students at a Tier 1 level using Fastbridge (aReading, aMath, SAEBRS) and then determine which students need support to help close the gap in some of their current skills. We review data regularly to ensure students are receiving the correct interventions that keep them progressing within their academic grade. If students are selected to be a part of Tiger Time, parents will be notified and provided data and information to explain the benefits of this opportunity, who their support teacher will be, and how often they will meet.

Tiger Time groups are determined based on need and are serviced at either a Tier 2 or Tier 3 level. Tier 2 interventions provide extra support 3-5 days a week through Title 1 or Basic Skills and our Tier 3 interventions are provided 5 days a week. The Tier 3 program within Tiger Time is part of a grant funded program called ADSIS. Below is a link to some frequently asked questions regarding ADSIS.
